Born and raised in New York City…
At an early age, Freidman showed signs of a natural ability for drawing and singing. After working for several design firms , Friedman formed his own atelier designing interiors ,furniture and residential architecture. Early on Friedman designed all of the showrooms and much of the furniture for the once esteemed company Brueton Industries, a primarily stainless steel furniture company.
Winning many awards for his Brueton furniture and showrooms he began to put an emphasis on furniture design.
He now designs for many manufacturers in the United States as well as others around the world. Friedman has won numerous awards and has been published numerous times for his work over the last several decades. Roscoe awards, IBD award, ASID awards, ISFD PINNACLE awards, DuPont Grand Prize award, GOOD DESIGN Chicago Athenaeum awards, etc.
Friedman’s motivation is,…’his eyes wide open’,…and what he experience’s in everyday life.
His motto is ‘ The more you love life , the more creative you become’.
