From Traditional to Transitional

This house showcases a transitional style, displaying the marriage between contemporary and traditional furniture pieces. Our client came to us hoping to design and bring in furniture into their home that better reflected their style and personality. Although an emphasis was placed on the structure and texture of the pieces, comfort was also highly valued. The finishing space offers a beautiful look, completely unrecognizable from before. (Images of previous space and furniture designs are displayed at the end.)

As you enter the sunroom by the main entrance, the transitional style is marked by the multiple layers of wooden textures. The Autumn-Cherry-stained Exeter round glass top table and Estelle chairs by Copeland Furniture enhance the neutral tones that are often distinctive in transitional spaces.

These exemplary mid-century modern pieces are highlighted by the sunlight.

The Clip curved sectional by Thayer Coggin fills up the room without overcrowding. Its unique base and legs mimic a “clip.” Paired with the versatile Decked Out ottoman, also by Thayer Coggin, this master centerpiece sets a contemporary tone for the house.

Without compromising the amount of entertainment space, the living room is stylish and aesthetically pleasing.

A phenomenal view of the sectional and its complementing pieces.

One can appreciate the daring curves of the Clip as well as the stunning fusion glass of the Cooper drink table by Charleston Forge.

The lithe, splayed legs in polished stainless steel of Thayer Coggin’s Mia lounge chair may appear light in scale, but they undoubtedly provide comfort.

The gentle, smooth lines of the Lennox chairs and the Tiverton table, both in brown maple, are consistent with a transitional style.

Hand-crafted in the US, this dining set embodies the dedication of our work to skilled craftsmanship.

Our custom island acts as the spotlight in the kitchen, offering functionality and sophistication.

The backyard is occupied with outdoor furniture made of poly lumber, a material capable of withstanding the elements year after year regardless of the season.
