The Mellion set features true, through Mortise and Tenon construction. The front posts on many of the pieces protrude through the notched 1" thick top. This is a unique design feature shown only in this collection. The tall dresser and lingerie chest have a wood back splash which is mortised into the back posts. The overall construction, design and attention to detail in this set is excellent. The standard Hardware is from Horton Brasses who have been making reproduction hardware in the USA since 1936. Full extension soft close drawer slides and an Asbury Brown Stain are also standard.
